										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Ben is the Director of the Centre for Cultural Value and Professor of Cultural Engagement at the University of Leeds. His research encompasses arts management, arts marketing, audience studies and cultural policy, with a focus on audience engagement and enrichment; change management in the arts; and cultural value and leadership.</p>
<p>Prior to his academic career, he worked as an arts manager for ten years, most recently as a Producer at the National Theatre of Scotland. Since 2014, Ben has been the Academic Director of the Arts Fundraising and Philanthropy Programme. His monograph <em>Audience Engagement in the Performing Arts: A critical analysis</em> was published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2019.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Dave O’Brien is Chancellor’s Fellow in Cultural and Creative Industries at the University of Edinburgh and a co-investigator at the Arts and Humanities Research Council’s Creative Industries Policy and Evidence Centre (AHRC PEC). He has published extensively on inequality in the creative economy, including his latest book <i>Culture is bad for you</i>, which is co-authored with Drs Mark Taylor and Orian Brook. This week he has co-authored new research on the crisis of social mobility in creative industries, published by the AHRC PEC, and the <i>Creative Majority</i> report on what works to support diversity in the creative industries, published by the All Party Parliamentary Group for Creative Diversity.</p>

She founded Hayton Associates in 1997 leading in the field of the evaluation of community based creative activities working with The National Trust, Arts Council England and the National Lottery Heritage Fund. While at Leeds, she has shaped and delivered an ambitious cultural programme successfully building the university’s relationships with creative sector partners and devised innovative approaches that facilitate cross domain working.</p>
