Susie is Head of Creative Development at Contact a national contemporary arts organisation that places young people’s decision making and leadership at the heart of everything. Since joining Contact in 2007, Suzie has headed up the Artistic Team which brings together staff working across the creative programme of participatory work, commissioning, producing and programming. During her time at Contact Suzie has and has led on the development of a large number of programmes including Contact’s pioneering socially engaged arts leadership programme Future Fires. As well as co-leading The Agency, a national social entrepreneurship programme now in its 9th year.

Dave O’Brien

Dave O’Brien is Chancellor’s Fellow in Cultural and Creative Industries at the University of Edinburgh and a co-investigator at the Arts and Humanities Research Council’s Creative Industries Policy and Evidence Centre (AHRC PEC). He has published extensively on inequality in the creative economy, including his latest book Culture is bad for you, which is co-authored with Drs Mark Taylor and Orian Brook. This week he has co-authored new research on the crisis of social mobility in creative industries, published by the AHRC PEC, and the Creative Majority report on what works to support diversity in the creative industries, published by the All Party Parliamentary Group for Creative Diversity.

Holly Maples

Dr Maples is a theatre maker and researcher whose research includes performance based research, commemoration, the performance of collective memory, decolonizing museum and heritage sites, and investigations into cultural institutions and the precarity of labour in the theatre industry. Maples is the Primary Investigator of an ESRC Rapid Response project investigating the cultural, social and economic impact of COVID-19 on UK freelance theatre workers.

Lilli Geissendorfer

Lilli Geissendorfer was appointed Director of Jerwood Arts, the leading independent funder of artists, curators and producers in the UK, in January 2018. She has rebranded Jerwood Arts with a reimagined approach to funding for organisations and individuals, and increased its partnerships, capacity and national reach. Previous roles include Producer at Almeida Theatre and Relationship Manager at Arts Council England. Lilli is a trustee of Fuel, and co-produced the first HighTide Festival in 2007.
