Before becoming the Head of Place, Partnerships and Communities, Karen was previously Place, Partnerships and Communities Officer at Creative Scotland. Prior to Creative Scotland, Karen joined the Area Development team at the Scottish Arts Council in 2001, supporting work with Local Authorities and the Arts in the Community programme. During her time at the Scottish Arts Council, Karen also worked in the Communications team, as Website Officer. Karen is a Gaelic learner.
