Stephanie Pitts

Professor Stephanie Pitts directs the Sheffield Performer and Audience Research Centre, and is Associate Director of the Centre for Cultural Value. Her books include Chances and Choices: Exploring the Impact of Music Education (2012), and Coughing and Clapping (Burland & Pitts, 2014). Her recent AHRC-funded project with arts sector partners across four UK cities is now published as Understanding Audience Engagement in the Contemporary Arts (Pitts & Price, 2020).
