In Arts Professional: What is an equity steering group?

When Crafts Council and Glasgow Caledonian University London began their collaborative research project looking at the cultural value of craft in the context of race and racism in the UK, they decided to recruit a group focusing specifically on equity.

The support and challenge provided by the group became invaluable.

In this piece for Arts Professional, the project team share their learning.

We hope that laying out our process offers a possible roadmap for other organisations in the cultural sector and creative industries that also seek to place equity, diversity and inclusion at the heart of their work.
